Primary CREST (Creativity in Science and Technology) is a program administered by CSIRO . It is designed to "motivate Primary students and develop their interest in Science and Technology and an understanding of the relevance of these subjects to their everyday life."

CREST projects are designed to teach students about the process of doing science, finding creative solutions to practical problems and developing good investigative and problem solving skills.

There are three levels of awards in Primary CREST - Green, Orange and Blue. In the introductory GREEN level students are guided through a set of prescribed activities in each topic. Science Club students have achieved Green CREST awards for investigating topics such as the absorbency of different materials, effect of sunlight on sunprint paper, and the right conditions for growth of mould. They have designed and built bird shelters for native species, packaging for mandarins to be carried in school bags, and model sun shelters for swimming pools.
